Booking Structure - Request to Book vs Instant Booking.

Roambler offers two booking structures - request to book and instant booking. This allows you to choose how you would like your experience to be booked.

Request to Book:

Set up your listing as Request to Book if you would like to approve a reservation prior to booking. With Request to Book a guest will send a booking request which you will receive in your Roambler profile. A notification email of the inquiry will also be sent to the email address linked to your listing. Requests to book are time sensitive. Hosts have a 24 hour period to either approve or deny a booking request before the request expires. If the request expires after 24 hours an additional request must be sent by the guest and be approved to book the listing. Request to Book requires a few extra steps and diligence for listing management but is a great tool for Hosts who prefer the option of approval prior to booking.

Instant Booking:

Set up your listing for Instant Booking if you would like your listing to be booked instantly by guests. Instant bookings are a seamless way to accept bookings for your listing and are easily managed. Instant Booking listings appear with a lightning bolt symbol to show guests they can book quickly without waiting for approval. You can communicate with your guest following an instant booking through your profile to confirm or customize details using our in site messaging system. You will receive a notification of your confirmed booking through the email linked to your Roambler listing or login to check your reservations.

Payout Structure - Stripe Payouts vs PayPal Payouts

When you receive a payment for a reservation, we call that a 'payout'. Our secure system supports two different payout methods, which can be set up from your Roambler Profile in the 'Account' tab. To set up a payout method for your listing login and select Account - Payout Preferences - and enter your chosen payout method. Learn more about both methods below. Roambler processes payouts the same day. Depending on which payout method you choose it may take up to 5 days to appear in your account.

PayPal Payouts:

You will need a PayPal account to choose PayPal Payouts. PayPal accounts are free to start and can be created by visiting the PayPal website. PayPal is one of the leading online payment systems in the world - trusted and secure.

When you choose PayPal for Payouts you will enter the email address linked to your PayPal account. Your earnings will then be transferred to your PayPal account where you will manage your money.

Stripe Payouts:

Stripe is the leading online payments platform in the world. Stripe Payouts are transferred directly to your bank account via the Stripe Payment Platform. Follow the prompts in your 'Account' Tab to set up Stripe Payouts. Stripe technology uses an encryption process which keeps your information secure.
